DWCS Season 10, Week 6 results: Vicious 1 punch knockout leads 4 fighters being signed to UFC contracts

September 16, 2026 2 min read

Dana White found plenty to be excited about during week six of the tenth season of Dana White’s Contender Series, handing out four UFC contracts following a night defined by explosive finishes. Among those securing their spot on the global roster were Mayton Perea, Igor Cavalcanti, Luis Hernandez, and the standout performer of the evening, Akbar Abdullaev. While five fighters walked away with victories, one did not leave with a contract; Tyshawn Williams won his bout via unanimous decision but was told by White that he would be invited back later this season for another opportunity to prove he belongs in the Octagon.

The highlight of the night undoubtedly belonged to Akbar Abdullaev, who lived up to immense hype in spectacular fashion. In a moment that left both the crowd and Dana White stunned, Abdullaev landed a singular, thunderous right hand that sent Ednilson Santos crashing face-first into the canvas. The fight lasted only nineteen seconds, prompting White to describe Abdullaev as perhaps the greatest talent to ever appear on the series. It was a definitive statement that immediately positioned the former ONE Championship fighter as a prospect to watch moving forward.

Other newcomers impressed through sheer aggression and technical precision. Mayton Perea wasted no time in his debut, overwhelming Zevan Hunt with a relentless assault that ended in a first-round TKO after multiple knockdowns. Similarly, Igor Cavalcanti showcased great composure on the ground after dropping Oscar Ravello early with a straight right hand, methodically working for a stoppage without overextending himself. Meanwhile, Luis Hernandez displayed versatility by mixing heavy body kicks and striking before locking in a rear naked choke in the second round to force Hugo Guillon’s submission.

With these latest additions, the UFC has now signed twenty eight fighters throughout this current season of the Contender Series. By rewarding those who take risks and deliver highlight reel performances, White continues to fill his ranks with athletes capable of making an immediate impact. For Perea, Cavalcanti, Hernandez, and especially Abdullaev, a lifelong dream became reality on Friday night as they transitioned from hopeful contenders to official members of the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization.
